Hi Kazu, what a beautiful description of your loving community. I'm envious! For 15 years, from 1970-85 my partner and I lived in a collective house, a brownstone in Harlem, in NYC. We were all young activists. Like Canticle, we shared meals, cars, things, time, caring, love, counseling, long dinner talks, dancing, and political work. We only had one house, so no backyards to share. But it was a formative period for all of us, and we are all still lifelong friends. Thanks for reminding me/us of the importance of community. warmly, John
